DiamondSEAL - Application & Tips PREPARATION: Surface must be completely clean and dry to the touch before application. Remove all dirt and any other sealers. Rinse Thoroughly! Allow the surface to dry for at least 24 hours prior to application of DiamondSEAL. If your new DiamondCRETE project is going to be where people are touching it soon after it is poured, you may seal the top and sides within 3 to 5 days after the project is poured. Sealing the top and sides protects the project in the early days of curing. If the top and sides have been sealed, do not seal the bottom until 45 days to allow the stone to completely cure/dry. If your water causes an efflorescence problem, sealing the project early will help minimize it. APPLICATION: NOTE: Always test a small inconspicuous area to assure penetration and satisfaction of appearance. If water beads up before you have applied DiamondSEAL, continue cleaning to assure proper penetration. After applying DiamondSEAL, sprinkle a small amount of water on the surface, it if beads up, sealing is complete. DiamondSEAL may be applied with a sponge, brush, roller, a lint free cloth, an old nylon or most types of spray equipment, including low pressure garden sprayers. Applicator should not absorb a large amount of sealer. Try several items until you find the type that works best for you. DiamondCRETE Surfaces: One moderate coat supplies complete protection and a satin finish. If a gloss finish is desired, a second coat must be applied before the first coat is completely dry. If small bubbles appear from applying to fast just blow on the surface and they will disappear. Other More Porous Materials/Surfaces: One coat offers satisfactory protection with virtually no change is surface appearance. Additional coats will add greater protection and higher gloss. Assure penetration of additional coats by testing a small area prior to total application. LIMITATIONS & CONCERNS: DiamondSEAL will retard but not eliminate efflorescence. DiamondSEAL will resist most stains up to 72 hours. However, oils and solvents should be wiped up as soon as possible. We do not recommend Muriatic Acid for cleaning. It will discolor the surface, etch, and is extremely dangerous to use. DO NOT ALLOW PRODUCT TO FREEZE.
